I read your resume and it brought back memories...how you loved cameras and photography. At the time, this area had one studio and all the pics were the same....same posture, same smile, same hair.....etc.
It takes people like you, Stew, to pioneer fresh ideas. When you were involved with your school yearbook you brought a breath of fresh air. Capturing the actual event... they are our personal history book.

Just watched the Bill Green's Maine episode. The interview was great and Bill Green is the best. Whenever he came to Rumford or Mexico, he would stop at Maddy's and my mom would always come out to him and say " Oh, I like you so much better than that other guy "(Bruce Glasier). Last time we talked was at the Denver Airport right after you did the Carmello Anthony shoot . You are touching all my heart strings. I grew up in Lisbon, ME and love the Sox. Moved to Syracuse and married my wife of 23 years, Laurel, also from Maine ( Wales). She is a fashion designer and Bridal Gown expert. She also teaches at Syracuse University as a Fashion Design adjunct. I can't believe your gallery has Melo, the one and only to bring a national championship to our beloved Syracuse basketball program. And the gals of your gallery.... to die for. You lucky bastard. I love the poses and I can see, as I look through the photos, the reasons for each adjustment you made, each outfit just gets better as better as the shoot progresses. Thank you so much for all your time and dedication to making each one perfect - thank you for being as you say - "fussy"! it really is incredible how a small adjustment to the pose, lighting, or camera position can make a huge difference in the image. Yur new site looks wonderful! I love the black & white shot of the legs with the stockings and shoes...you don't see anything other than the crossed legs iwth the thigh high stockings and her shoes. You should make that in to a poster.

I had always dreamed about taking part in a professional photo shoot and for years I put it off because I felt to shy to step in front of the camera, then I met Stewart. He was always extremely positive and encouraged me to give modeling a try. After a long thought process I decided to schedule a consultation with Stewart. We met and looked through his work. I could not believe that work the quality of his could be found in Maine and did not hesitate to scheduled a shoot. On the day of the shot I was very nervous, but once we started all my butterflies subsided. Shooting with Stewart was so much fun, I instantly felt comfortable and when the shoot was all said and done I was amazed at the we had created. Let me tell you, I might be a novice in front of the camera, but I have spent years admiring the beautiful women in magazines like Cosmo, Maxim, and occasionally one of my fathers or boyfriends Playboy’s and Stewart’s work rivals all of the aforementioned. I would encourage anyone who desires a professional photographer to consider Stuart, he made my day special and can’t wait until next time.

Stewart and I met at a wedding (10?) years ago and we've been friends since. Of course, we've worked many weddings together since we first met -so I may say that Stew is an artist . There are tons of "wedding industry" phototographers around. All of them speak of "capturing your special day on film, making memories, etc." -but that is only basic and not worthy of praise. It goes without saying that you are a great photographer! Just look at your body of work on this website. What you may not realize, though, is that you have a very special talent for making people feel at ease in front of the camera. Hey Stew, When I met you, I remember immediatley looking at some work from your portfolio. I knew that the Patriots had chosen a great photographer to shoot our swimsuit calendar, because I knew that you would work your magic. And that you did, my friend!!!!!!! I loved every second of the shoot. It was fun, and relaxed and I felt like a million bucks the whole way through. I love the way you tend to get creative in the process and just go with what you feel and that's what makes it work so well. As a model, there are times when your photographer has a vision that maybe you don't see, but I trusted you just by looking at your work and I'm glad that I did. Beautiful pictures. Your work is very good. I wish I had had some professional photos done of my son before he passed away at the age of 25. I love photography and drive everyone crazy. I took a picture of my son jumping with his dirt bike and that picture was etched on his headstone. It was his favorite picture and I think one of the best I have ever taken. I will always smile when I see that picture because I will remember the fun we had that afternoon taking pictures of him on his dirt bike. Good luck to you and best wishes for a great New Year.
